Nintendo has officially announced the newest entry in theWarioWarefranchise,WarioWare: Move It, boasting co-op gameplay and over 200 microgames for players to try out. Since its debut on the Game Boy Advance, the spin-off starringthe evil counterpart of Mariohas grown into one of Nintendo’s most beloved and eccentric series. While Wario originally starred in theWario Landplatformers, the character’s true claim to fame has been the fast-paced microgame series filled with wacky and unusual mini-games. Now, Wario is bringing a brand-new game to the Switch.

The announcement of the newestWarioWaregame would be far from the first time the mustachioed miscreant has made his way to the Nintendo Switch. 2021 saw the release of the franchise’s most recent entry withWarioWare: Get It Together!receiving positive reception from both critics and fans. Wario has also appeared in severalMariosports games released on the Switch. Now, Wario’s flagship franchise is bringing more zany fun to the Switch withWarioWare: Move Itofficially confirmed.

Nintendo would revealWarioWare: Move Itduring Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct broadcast, unveiling some of the microgame fun in store for fans. The trailer places an emphasis on motion controls with many of the microgames withinWarioWare: Move Itcontrolled using the JoyCons' motion function.WarioWare: Move Italso showcased several microgames based on popular Nintendo franchises, includingPikminand the slide level fromSuper Mario 64.WarioWare: Move Itwill launch on November 3rd with pre-orders available following the broadcast.

WarioWare: Move Itwould show off several co-op features within the franchise’s newest entry, featuring both two and four-player options. The trailer teased multiple co-op microgames featuring different inputs from both players required to complete the tasks, as well as some exclusive four-player microgames. Nintendo would also reveal a board game mode forWarioWare: Move It, reminiscent of the developer’s otherpopularMario Partyfranchise.Move Itwill feature a total of “over 200 microgames” between its single-player and multiplayer modes when the game debuts later this year.

The reveal ofWarioWare: Move Itcomes during a Nintendo Direct broadcast jam-packed with new announcements for beloved Nintendo franchises. The developer would reveal more ofPikmin 4during the livestream, as well as confirming HD remasters of two classicPikmingames releasing later today. Nintendo would conclude the broadcast by revealinga brand-newSuper Mario2D platformertitledSuper Mario Bros. Wonder, launching later this year.WarioWarefans have plenty more microgame fun in store whenMove Itdebuts this November.
