A Five-Style Map Would Be a Perfect Match For Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
Five was one of the launch Zombies maps forCall of Duty: Black Ops, with players being thrown straight into the map after the credits sequence of the game’s singleplayer story. Not only was Five unique in how it was set within the Pentagon, but it also featured four distinct playable characters, moving away from the usual Zombies cast of Nikolai, Dempsey, Richtofen, and Takeo.
Instead, players embodied a range of Cold War-era political figures, taking control of JFK, Richard Nixon, Fidel Castro, and Robert McNamara. The characters, gameplay, and the associated cinematic for Five made it an instant fan-favorite experience, yet theBlack Opsfranchise has not attempted to replicate this formula inthe many Zombies maps that have come since 2010.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Can Go Back to the Roots of Zombies with a Successsor to Five
Rumors and leaks suggest that the Zombies mode forBlack Ops 6will be more in-line with the classic round-based survival gameplay of older titles likeWorld at Warand the originalBlack Opsreleases. Theopen-world formula of Outbreak Zombiesand MWZ has been fairly hit-and-miss, so Treyarch is supposedly aiming to return to basics withBlack Ops 6. A nod to Five would be a perfect way to let fans know what direction the mode is heading in, and would make good use of the top-tier impressionists featured in the live-action trailer.
Of course, it may be controversial to have the likes ofSuddam Hussein as playable characters inBlack Ops 6, but the other four political figures could appear inBlack Ops 6Zombies as long as the map in question maintains the satirical tongue-in-cheek nature of Five. With how likely it is that these real-world leaders will play significant roles in the story ofBlack Ops 6, Treyarch has a perfect opportunity for the game to truly go back to the roots of Zombies with a successor to one of its most ambitious and memorable experiences.
