The glitches people have found inThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildjust don’t stop coming, as a newly discovered glitch makes Link invincible and grants him infinite stamina. By manipulating various systems built intoBreath of the Wild, players have been able to give themselves unlimited arrows or even forgo all those arrows by using a glitch that lets the player kill any boss with a single arrow. Of course, the gamut of glitches goes well beyond arrows.
This particular glitch, as with manyBreath of the Wildglitches, can be complicated to activate. Luckily, the YouTube channel Gaming Reinvented, and the discoverers of the glitch, two people who go by the names Simaubaka and LegendofLinkk, have laid out each step. After meeting a handful of prerequisites that lay the groundwork for the glitch, the rest of the exploit is about manipulating inventory and save file slots. The complex process ends with Link jumping into a body of water with the stamina bar depleted and jumping out with a stamina bar that will never empty again. Hench, the glitch’s name: Aqua Reverse Memory Storage, or ARMS.

With ARMS glitch activated, the world ofBreath of the Wildopens, allowing Link to scale any mountain and then glide to any point within range without losing a drop of stamina. The glitch has some other advantages, too. It disables various events around the map from being triggered, like cutscenes, and it even lets the player explore the Lost Woods at a leisurely pace without worrying about having to start at the beginning after a wrong turn.
But there are some downsides to immortality, it turns out. The glitch can softlock the game, meaning it remains playable but progression beyond the current state of the game is impossible. Some softlock triggers include talking to NPC’s or opening any ofBreath of the Wild’s numerous treasure chests. Switching items and pausing and un-pausing the game ends the glitch, as well. As long as players don’t do anything the glitch doesn’t like, they’re free to roam anywhere and can kill anything.
Many of the most popularBreath of the Wildglitches don’t really offer much in the way of a reward that players can’t access in the game proper. Players are always on the hunt for new glitches because the sense of invincibility and freedom they provide is reward enough. But they doofferBreath of the Wildspeedrunnersa bevy of tools at their disposal that can help shave off precious fractions of a second to achieve a better time.
