The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomhas a very different Great PlateaufromBreath of the Wild, containing far fewer tutorial elements and new shrines, such as one called Tadarok, which is hidden away.

Players returning to the sequel after exploring all the previous entry had to offer might find this shrine by accident, as inTears of the Kingdom, it is located behind the waterfallthat used to house a cache of treasure chests.

Tadarok Shrine Location and Route

Even if a player knows the exact location of the shrine, getting there at all can prove somewhat tricky. The shrine’s coordinates are -1077, -2184, and 0129, and it’s on the Great Plateau in the snowy region, but it’s in a cave with a few challenges on the route to access it. To begin, players should enter the areathe same way they would inBreath of the Wild, over the river using the metal door to make a bridge. There is also a chest with a spicy potion here.

After walking along the right side of the river, players will encounter two snowy like-like enemies. One is out of the way and easy to avoid, but the other is directly in the cave’s path that needs to be entered. These enemies can be defeated by waiting, shooting them with an arrow when they show their glowing weak spot, then wailing on them with a melee attack. After this, follow the bunny into the cave, fight a normal like-like, then the shrine will be there.

Tadarok Shrine Solution - Fire and Water

OnceTears of the Kingdomplayers have entered the shrine, the solution isn’t too simple despite the long road to get there. Players first need to take the metal balls out of the water to prevent them from being electrocuted, then place the large cube in the water and make a platform to get across.

After, players should take the block they left in the water and use it to block the flames that keep melting the ice block. There are four blocks in the shrine, all of which are necessary to get to the end of the shrine. The ice block should be kept out of the way of the flames so it doesn’t melt.

Players can climb up the newly acquired ice block to reach the ledge on the opposite end of the room, whichhas a chest containing a Zonaite shield on top. The ice block won’t be used until the end of the puzzle, so players should feel free to leave it here.

Now players can head over to the electricity pool in the back of the room and remove the orbs and cube from the water again. This time, the cube is made of metal and conducts electricity. This means players must not accidentally electrocute themselves when removing it.

The Tadarok Shrine Ice Block solution

On the right side of the shrine is a little room with entry blocked by a lava river. This can be crossed by placing metal and stone cubes in the river and jumping across. The wooden box can be saved from the fire by just using Utrahand to dunk it in the nearby pool of water after it has been set alight. After this, players have everything they need to finish this puzzle.

After all four boxes have been brought to the main room, players should start by placing either the metal or stone block in the water, then stacking the remaining three boxes on top of each otherand sticking them together with ultrahand. Ensure the ice and wooden blocks are not in the direct path of the flame, stand on the block in the water, and use ascend to finish the shrine.
